John Snyder, un ex piloto de B-42 en los Army Air Corps, dijo que él estaba sentado en las escaleras de su casa alrededor de las 10:45 P. M., la noche del 6 de agosto, 1947, y que sus vecinos, la familia Kelly, también estaban sentados en sus escaleras. Todos estaban viendo al Este. Snyder notó un objeto que emitía una flama blanco-azul pasar rápidamente a través del aire. Estaba viajando del NE al SO. Usando su experiencia en los Army Air Corps él estimó la velocidad entre 400 a 500 MPH. El objeto no perdió elevación y dejó tanto humo como una estela de condensación en su anterior trayectoria. El vapor duró por alrededor de 2 segundos. Un sonido de silbido acompañó el paso. El sonido era moderado y no cercano al ruido que se produce por una nave cohete.

Alrededor de las 10:45 de la noche del 6 de agosto 47, Kelly y su esposa estaban sentados en las escaleras de su casa cuando Kelly notó un objeto que le pareció (e él) un petardo gigante que pasó rápidamente a través del aire. No escuchó ruido y el objeto pasó completamente de la vista en dirección Sur en una fracción de segundo. Dejó una estela de fuego de alrededor de 100 pies. El objeto no perdió altura así que está seguro de que no era una estrella fugaz.
NOTA: Se debe notar que los Snyders y los Kellys viven en el NE de Filadelfia, cerca de Oxford Circle (alrededor de 10 millas distante de la residencia de la Srita. Naddle «“ Inc 69). También se debe notar que las observaciones de la Srita. Naddle, los Kellys y los Snyders se corresponden aproximadamente. Todos parecen confiables y no son del tipo que busquen publicidad o que dispersen rumores

El 6 de agosto ocurre el incidente de Myrtle Creek, Oregón, cuyo resumen es el siguiente:
Mientras XXXXX instruía a un estudiante en un despegue en el aeropuerto se dio cuenta de un objeto al este de Myrtle Creek que parecía estar a 5,000-8,000 pies de altura. El cielo. estaba completamente claro y la visibilidad era excelente, él indicó que el objeto parecía ser de aluminio. Al notarlo tomó inmediatamente el control del avión, que en ese momento estaba a 400 pies, y se dirigió al Este, en un intento de seguir observando el objeto. Él dijo que el objeto parecía estar subiendo y viajando al Este a una gran velocidad que se estima en unas 1,000 millas por hora. Él creía que el objeto era de forma esférica y recuerda haber notado un objeto más oscuro a la derecha del primero. Después de buscar en la zona por aproximadamente 10 minutos XXXXX y su estudiante XXXXX regresaron al aeropuerto e hicieron otro aterrizaje y despegue; prácticamente en la misma posición a 400 pies de altura tanto XXXXX como XXXXX vieron el objeto aproximadamente en la misma posición que antes; él estimó que la esfera era de 30 pies de diámetro y dijo que cuando la vieron por primera vez observaron que parecía estar tan cerca que podían volar derecho hacia ella. Sin embargo, el objeto avistado la segunda vez desaparecido en la misma manera que el primero. Se observa que XXXXX sirvió como teniente en los Cuerpos aeronavales de EE.UU. por cerca de 3 1/2 años volando constantemente en patrullaje submarino en el Atlántico; él es un ciudadano con buena reputación en el condado de Douglas y se informa que es un piloto calificado. XXXXX de Myrtle Creek, Oregón verificó la información anterior como proporcionada por XXXXX indicando que el primer objeto avistado había sido llamado a su atención cuando XXXXX se hizo cargo de los mandos del avión alrededor de 400 pies después de su despegue, pero que ambos habían avistado el segundo objeto al mismo tiempo al despegar. XXXXX describe el objeto como una bola plateada o un globo que él cree estaba a 8 millas al Este de Myrtle Creek, viajando al Este y subiendo muy rápido hasta que desapareció en aproximadamente 45 segundos. XXXXX estima que la esfera tenía 50 pies de diámetro y declaró que en su opinión el segunda objeto pareció subir directamente hacia arriba. Dijo que él, no observó ninguna evidencia de motores en forma de vapor o estelas etc. y no pudo escuchar ruido por encima del ruido de su propia nave; una investigación en la vecindad de Myrtle creek, Orgeon, no ha revelado ninguna otra persona que haya avistado los objetos reportados por XXXXX. No se llevó a cabo ninguna otra investigación.
El caso 98 es el de Agate beach, Oregón, y ocurrió el 7 de agosto. Un resumen:
XXXXX entrevistado por el agente especial manifestó que el 7 de agosto 1947 residía en Agate Beach, Oregón, y que su casa estaba muy cerca de la playa. Alrededor de las 12:30 de la mañana fue despertado por su hijo que entró. Mientras estaba despierto notó un resplandor de luz brillante a través del cielo sobre el océano. Él declaró que de inmediato pensó en discos voladores creyendo que podría ser uno de ellos. El Sr. XXXXX pasó a decir que no tenía idea de la forma o el tamaño de este objeto, pero que parecía estar cerca de 5 millas sobre el océano y que él fue capaz de verlo durante unos 15 o 30 segundos; él indicó, además, que debido a la oscuridad no podía decir nada acerca de la velocidad de este objeto, pero pensó que estaba viajando mucho más rápido que cualquier aeroplano que había visto en su vida, él informó que este resplandor de luz era algo similar a la aurora boreal que a veces aparece en el cielo, pero que por supuesto no era tan grande y que parecía estar pasando y bajando, esto es fluctuando en su altura, cuando viajó a lo largo. Él declaró que desapareció en el Oeste o bien cayó en el océano o desapareciendo en el horizonte, no pudo dar ninguna otra información relativa a este objeto de luz reportado por él como posiblemente un disco volador.
Ese mismo día hubo otro avistamiento en Ocean Lake, Oregón (incidente 128):
El Sr. XXXXX de Agathe Beach, cerca de Ocean lake, Oregón, informó que la noche del 7 de agosto a las 11:30 pm avistó lo que él cree que es un disco brillante en color que se pudo observar por sólo poco tiempo debido a su velocidad.
