Journey. Spaceman

Spaceman – Journey

Don’t be so wise, I was born to fly

Not without a place in the wind

Walked off a cliff, then I closed my eyes

Ooh, I’m not a spaceman, no, no

Ooh, I’m not a spaceman

Don’t need no feathers, I don’t need no twine,

I’m all together in my body and my mind,

Not supernatural, just a human combine,

Ooh, I’m not a spaceman, no, no

Ooh, I’m not a spaceman!

Can’t see a castle, I don’t need a sleigh,

I brought my wings, no, not today

I’m a cosmopolitan, right-handed wingless man

Ooh, I’m not a spaceman, no, no

Ooh, I’m not a spaceman.

Harry Nilsson. Spaceman

Spaceman – Harry Nilsson

Bang, bang, shoot em’ up, destiny

Bang, bang, shoot em’ up to the moon

Bang, bang, shoot em’ up one, two, three

(One, two, three, four!)

I wanted to be a spaceman

That’s what I wanted to be

But now that I am a spaceman

Nobody cares about me

Hey mother earth

Won’t ‘cha bring me back down

Safely to the sea

But ‘round and around and around and around

Is all she ever say to me

I wanted to make a good run

I wanted to go to the moon

I knew that it had to be fun

I told ‘em to send me real soon

I wanted to be a spaceman

I wanted to be it so bad

But now that I am a spaceman

I’d rather be back on the pad

Hey mother earth

Won’t ‘cha bring me back down

Safely to the sea

But ‘round and around and around and around

Is just a lot of lunacy

(Yeah!)

‘Round and around and around and around and around

(So bring me back down)

‘Round and around and around and around and around

Safe on the ground

Hey mother earth

Won’t ‘cha bring me back down

Safely to the sea

But ‘round and around and around and around

Is all she ever say to me, yeah

You know I wanted to be a spaceman

That’s what I wanted to be

But now that I am a spaceman

Nobody cares about me

Say, hey! You mother earth

You better bring me back down

I’ve taken just as much as I can

But around and around and around and around

Is the problem of a spaceman

(Ah’s!)

The Killers. Spaceman

Spaceman «“ The Killers

It started with a low light

Next thing I knew they ripped me from my bed

And then they took my blood type

It left a strange impression in my head

You know that I was hoping

That I could leave this starcrossed world behind

But when they cut me open

I guess I changed my mind

And you know I might

Have just flown too far from the floor this time

Cause they calling me by my name

And the zipping white light beams

Disregarding the bombs and satellites

That was the turning point

That was one lonely night

The starmaker says it ain»™t so bad

The dreammaker»™s gonna make you mad

The spaceman says everybody look down!

It»™s all in your mind

Now I»™m back at home and

I»™m looking forward to this life I live

You know it»™s going to harm me

So hesitation to this life I give

You think you might cross over

You»™re caught between the devil and the deep blue sea

You better look it over

Before you make that leap

And you know I»™m fine,

but I hear those voices at night sometimes,

they justify my claim

And the public don»™t dwell on my transmission

Cause It wasn»™t televised

But it was the turning point

O what a lonely night

The starmaker says it ain»™t so bad

The dreammaker»™s gonna make you mad

The spaceman says everybody look down!

It»™s all in your mind

The starmaker says it ain»™t so bad

The dreammakers»™s gonna make you mad

The spaceman says everybody look down!

It»™s all in your mind

My global position systems are vocally addressed

They said the nile used to run from east to west

They said the nile used to run

from east to west

I»™m fine,

but I hear those voices at night

Sometimes»¦

The starmaker says it ain»™t so bad

The dreammaker»™s gonna make you mad

The spaceman says everybody look down!

It»™s all in your mind

The starmaker says it ain»™t so bad

The dreammaker»™s gonna make you mad

The spaceman says everybody look down!

It»™s all in your mind

It»™s all in my mind.
