La torre de control de Fairfield obtuvo un reporte aproximadamente a las 2300 EST, 30 Dic 47, de Control de Vuelo Campo Hamilton, de un motorista sobre la autopista US 40, 30 millas al Oeste de Lovelock, Nevada (aproximadamente 39° 53″™ N, 116° 53″™ O) que había visto un objeto explotar en el aire a las 1926, a 1200 a 1300 pies en el aire.
Podría parecer estar conectado con los Incidentes # 94, 95 y 97.

La torre de control de Fairfield obtuvo un reporte de Control de Vuelos del Aeropuerto de Oakland (CAA) aproximadamente a las 2315 PST, 30 Dic 47, de que el vuelo 191 volando entre Medford, Oregón y Monte Shasta observó un flash a las 1925 PST, justo al Norte de su posición.

E. CONCLUSIONES
Se enviarán conclusiones detalladas en el reporte final. Es muy temprano para establecer conclusiones específicas, excepto por unos pocos incidentes, pero parece probable en esta etapa del trabajo que más de un cuarto de los incidentes pueden ser explicables como fenómenos astronómicos.
Se ha establecido una identificación positiva de los incidentes 94 a 97. Una bola de fuego, reportada en Popular Astronomy (Octubre, 1948), observada en su viaje sobre el Sur de Oregón y también vista en partes de California y Nevada, coincide exactamente con la información reportada en estos incidentes.
Puede haber preguntas pero esos «platillos voladores», al menos, eran auténticas bolas de fuego. Ya que la descripción de estos reportes es similar a la de muchos otros, se fortalece la inferencia de que esos últimos también eran bolas de fuego.

Incidente #94 «“ 42° 9.3″™ N, 114° 22.2″™ O «“ 30 de diciembre 1947
Este incidente y los Incidentes #95, 96 y 97, que describen el mismo objeto, claramente se refiere a una bola de fuego completamente autentificada. Estos avistamientos pueden desecharse definitivamente con la siguiente cita de Popular Astronomy, Octubre, 1948:

En esta fecha, a las 7:30 P. M. PST una bola de fuego brillante apareció viajando hacia el Oeste sobre el Sur de Oregón.
«¦ Prof. J. Hugh Pruett reunió numerosos reportes de observadores en Oregón, California y Nevada, y de estos hizo una apropiada solución de la trayectoria. Él envió tanto su solución como todos los 47 reportes al Observatorio Plower donde se había hecho otra solución independientemente. El nuestro concordaba cercanamente en todos los aspectos con el de Pruett excepto para las alturas.
El meteoro casi generalmente fue reportado como de color azul verdoso. Pareció explotar dos veces, iluminando el campo cercano a los observadores.
El fenómeno de sonido fue limitado a 6 de los 47 observadores.
De la altura a la que explotó el meteoro se duda que algún fragmento haya alcanzado el terreno.
Es claro por la concordancia general con esto que la evidencia dada en los incidentes #94-97 inclusive, que esta fue la bola de fuego que fue descrita.

La descripción dada aquí se refiere a una bola de fuego autentificada. Ver reporte en el Incidente #94 para detalles.
Es probable que el fuego observado en el terreno por los testigos de este incidente no tenga conexión con esta bola de fuego, pero no se descarta que un fragmento del bólido haya aterrizado y causado un fuego de maleza.
